Motorola Mobility unveils its latest rugged Motorola Defy+ smartphone

16 August 2011 – Motorola Defy+ would be the latest rugged Android smartphone unveiled by Motorola Mobility, right after the acquisition by Google. Motorola Defy+ would be the successor of the original Motorola Defy, bringing in Corning Gorilla scratch resistant glass, water resistant and dust proof design. The Motorola Defy+ is IP67 certified and the manufacturer claims that the phone could survive in under a rain shower or a day on the beach.






Powering the Motorola Defy+ is the 1GHz processor and it uses the latest Google Android version 2.3.4 Gingerbread with MotoBlur skinning. It has a 3.7-inch display with 854 x 480 resolution pixels, 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and a high capacity 1700mAh battery with estimated 7.1 hours of talk time and 16 days in standby. 



Motorola Mobility plans to release the Motorola DEFY+ in Asia, Europe and Latin America starting in early autumn. Alternatively, you can check out the Samsung Galaxy Xcover .
